Greater Home Health Care Inc Introduce
For residents across the South Bay area of California, finding reliable and professional home health care and physical therapy services can be a critical step in recovery, managing a chronic condition, or simply maintaining independence. Greater Home Health Care Inc., located in Torrance, CA, serves this vital role by offering in-home medical and therapeutic services designed to support patients in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes.
This agency is known for providing essential health services, focusing on adult care, particularly for the elderly who may be transitioning home after a hospital stay or require ongoing assistance for various health issues. Their model integrates medical oversight with therapeutic interventions, making it a key resource for comprehensive post-acute or long-term home-based care within the California community.
As a Medicare-Certified Home Health Agency, they are positioned to offer a range of services that are often covered by Medicare and other insurance providers when ordered by a physician for patients who are considered homebound. This certification speaks to their compliance with federal health and safety regulations, a factor that is often important for California residents seeking trusted care options.
Greater Home Health Care Inc. is strategically situated in Torrance, a major city in the South Bay region of Los Angeles County, California. This location allows them to serve a broad local population, bringing necessary care right to the patient’s doorstep throughout the greater area. While their services are provided in the home, their administrative office acts as a central hub for coordination and support.
Their office address is:
- 2204 Torrance Blvd # 101B, Torrance, CA 90501, USA
Accessibility is a key consideration for any medical provider in California, and Greater Home Health Care Inc. has taken steps to ensure their facility is welcoming to all visitors, including family members and caregivers who may need to coordinate care plans in person. The location provides:
- Wheelchair accessible entrance
- Wheelchair accessible parking lot
This commitment to physical accessibility demonstrates a focus on accommodating the needs of patients and their supporting network, ensuring that logistical concerns do not impede the process of securing necessary care.
The agency’s core offerings span across two major categories: general Home Health Care services and specialized Physical Therapy. This combination is essential for patients recovering from injury, illness, or surgery, who often require both medical management and functional rehabilitation. The goal of these services is to help patients regain strength, functional mobility, and independence, thereby preventing re-hospitalizations.
Services provided typically include, but are not limited to:
- Skilled Nursing: Provision of medical assessments, symptom awareness and action planning, patient and family education, wound care, pain management, and specialized care for acute and chronic conditions.
- Physical Therapy (PT): Specialized care focused on regaining mobility and strength, which can be critical for recovery. This often involves gait training, balance and fall risk reduction programs, strengthening exercises, and evaluation of necessary mobility equipment.
- Occupational Therapy (OT): Services designed to help patients return to their usual daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and light housekeeping.
- Speech Therapy (ST): Services to assist patients with problems related to speech, language, and swallowing.
- Home Health Aides: Non-medical assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, oral hygiene, feeding, and skin care.
- Medical Social Services: Assistance with social and emotional concerns related to illness, including short- and long-term care planning, crisis management, and guidance with accessing financial assistance and community resources.
In the highly competitive California healthcare market, certain features help Greater Home Health Care Inc. stand out as a dedicated resource for local homebound patients. Their focus is clearly on providing professional, in-home support where it is most needed.

Greater Home Health Care Inc Reviews
My Mother in Law received care from them when she was discharged from the hospital. ALL THE STAFF was unqualified and inexperienced with her needs. None of the Nurses that came knew anything about wound care and all staff had no idea of how to treat a patient with a wound vac. I had yo teach the nurse how to change the dressing. Her PT started her exercises even though her resting heart rate was 177 and we ended up taking her back to the ER. The staff members were kind at this company but all inexperienced and I wouldn’t recommend them unless you or your loved one has VERY BASIC needs.
