The Key - Formerly 123 Home Care Introduce
For California residents seeking exceptional, personalized care, the name The Key, formerly known as 123 Home Care, represents a long-standing commitment to improving the lives of individuals who require support in their homes. While the business name might seem unusual if you were searching for a traditional "car rental" service, The Key specializes in a far more meaningful form of mobility: ensuring health and independence through comprehensive home health care and specialized transportation assistance. The transportation offered is not a general car rental service, but rather a crucial component of their overall care plan, providing dedicated transit for appointments, errands, and even travel companionship, which is vital for maintaining a high quality of life for their clients.
This agency is primarily categorized as a Home Health Care Service, a Handicapped Transportation Service, and a provider of Hospice care. Their focus is on delivering compassionate, flexible, and professional assistance that is tailored to the unique needs of each person they serve across the California region. They understand that remaining in the comfort and familiarity of one's own home is paramount for dignity and well-being, and their extensive service list reflects this philosophy.
The transition from "123 Home Care" to "The Key" signifies an evolution, although, as some customer feedback indicates, administrative challenges can sometimes arise during such transitions. Nonetheless, the core mission of providing reliable and professional non-medical care remains the steadfast focus for this Los Angeles-based organization. Their dedication is to offer professional support that is both flexible and comprehensive, ensuring that clients and their families can rely on a consistent and high-quality standard of assistance.
The main location for The Key, formerly 123 Home Care, is strategically positioned in a key area of Los Angeles, California, making it a central point for coordinating their extensive in-home services across the region. Their office is located at:
3407 W 6th St Suite 709, Los Angeles, CA 90020, USA
Accessibility is a cornerstone of their service commitment, and this is reflected in the physical location's amenities, which are designed to accommodate individuals with mobility challenges. Recognizing that a client’s journey begins long before a caregiver arrives, the office ensures that the location itself is welcoming and easy to use for all visitors and family members. This proactive approach to accessibility demonstrates a commitment to the handicapped and senior communities they serve.
The following accessibility features are available at the location to better serve their community:
- Wheelchair accessible entrance
- Wheelchair accessible parking lot
For those living throughout Los Angeles and surrounding California communities, the physical office serves as the central hub for operations, but the true location of their service is in the homes of their clients. This in-home model allows them to bring personalized care directly to where it is needed most, greatly benefiting those who find it difficult or stressful to travel. The core of their business is mobile and focused on outreach, using their local base to manage logistics, caregiver deployment, and care coordination effectively.
The suite of services offered by The Key goes far beyond basic companionship. They provide an integrated approach to non-medical home health care, ensuring that every aspect of a client's daily life is supported. The critical component of transportation assistance is included to preserve independence and ensure access to the wider community and essential medical services. The following is a detailed list of the diverse services they provide, which collectively create a custom-designed care plan for each client in California:

Choosing the right home care provider in California is about more than just a list of tasks; it’s about finding a partner you can trust. The Key, formerly 123 Home Care, is worth choosing because it excels in providing a truly client-centric, holistic service model. The core value lies in the dedication to maintaining client dignity and independence in the most familiar setting: their own home. As one client noted, the initial setup was "simple, professional and well done," highlighting the agency's ability to take the stress out of arranging complex care.
For individuals in California who rely on assistance to maintain their active lives, the specialized handicapped transportation service is a compelling reason to choose this provider. This is not a simple taxi or ride-share; it is reliable, assisted travel provided by trained caregivers who are familiar with the client's needs, whether it's an essential trip to the doctor or a more enriching outing. This service ensures that health and social engagement are never compromised due to mobility issues.
Furthermore, the breadth of the non-medical home health care services—from intricate dietary planning and medication management to personal hygiene and mental stimulation—means families do not have to patchwork together care from multiple different providers. The Key offers a singular, customizable solution that is flexible enough to adapt to any change in condition or preference. The peace of mind this comprehensive, adaptive, and professionally handled care offers to families across Los Angeles and the wider California community is invaluable. While any organizational change can bring temporary technical issues, the established history of professional, compassionate care at the hands of certified professionals speaks volumes about the quality you can expect.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Our first contact with 123 was very professional and well handled. Within one hour, we were able to understand what was being offered and set up a schedule that was needed. Each of the caregivers was professional and understood what was needed. It was great not being tied in to a rigid schedule. We were able to implement the original plan and then tailor it as necessary. Never having experienced this type of situation before, we were a bit concerned about how to proceed and how it would work out. It turned out to be simple, professional and well done!
October 16 · James HastingsI got services from this agency two years ago and it was good then as 123 Home Care. But when I tried to sign up for services again as the Key, it is complete disaster. I've been on the phone with them for eight hours and they can't figure out which office is supposed to provide services. They tried to connect to office that is four hours away! Their system doesn't work at all.
November 15 · A SmithI don't care for this agency at all and wouldn't dare recommend and one to not only work for these people but have your family be in the care with there staff. But there was a black young man who took great awesome care of my father before his passing I'll never for get Antone Cook and I'll tell the whole wide world this young man was a light to my family and took care of things for me for my father that I couldn't do. I'm not sure if hesh still employed with these people but I pray not he needs to start his own caregiving business hack I'll invest in him. Just a phenomenal human being! He was a great fit for all families... How ever 123homecare is a horrible business
August 22 · Brendy JacksonRecruiter and receptionist where rude and mean. They looked for more things wrong then good. They lost my personal information contained important information. Never return calls or emails. Said that they were to busy. Lies about pay and he's and availability
December 18 · Nj Mso disappointed !!! not one of the caregivers were qualified to deal with what we needed and had been explained over and over again. I had to find qualified caregivers on my own - which were much cheaper and completely qualified
