Homeliving Health Providers, Inc. Introduce
For residents across California, particularly those recovering from a hospital stay, managing a chronic illness, or needing rehabilitation, the ability to receive professional medical care at home is invaluable. **Homeliving Health Providers, Inc.** is a specialized home health care service based in Tarzana, CA, dedicated to bringing essential skilled medical and therapeutic services directly to the patient’s residence. Unlike non-medical care, a home health agency like Homeliving is equipped to provide physician-ordered, medically necessary services, ensuring a seamless continuum of care outside of a clinical setting.
The agency’s core mission is to assist clients in achieving their highest potential for day-to-day self-care and functional independence within the safe, familiar environment of their own home. This holistic approach is delivered through a team of registered, certified, and licensed health professionals, including Registered Nurses (RNs), Physical Therapists (PTs), Occupational Therapists (OTs), Speech Therapists, and Medical Social Workers. These services are crucial for recovery, managing complex health conditions, and preventing hospital readmission, all while ensuring the patient's well-being and comfort are prioritized.
Homeliving Health Providers, Inc. understands that continuity and quality of care are paramount, and they aim to coordinate closely with the patient's physician to develop and implement a tailored Plan of Care (POC). This commitment to skilled, coordinated care is what makes this type of home health service a cornerstone of recovery and long-term health management in the Southern California community.

As a licensed home health agency, Homeliving Health Providers, Inc. specializes in delivering services that require the skills of a registered or licensed professional, as ordered and certified by a physician. These services are often covered by Medicare and other health insurance plans when deemed medically necessary and intermittent. The key skilled services provided in the comfort of a patient's home include:
- **Skilled Nursing (SN):** Provided by Registered Nurses (RNs) or Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) under RN supervision, covering clinical services such as medication administration (including injections and IV therapy), wound care, vital sign monitoring, post-surgical care, disease management, and patient/family education on health conditions.
- **Physical Therapy (PT):** Helps patients regain mobility, strength, balance, and function following an injury, surgery, or illness (such as a stroke). Therapists develop individualized exercise programs, work on transfer and gait training, and aim to maximize the patient's physical independence at home.
- **Occupational Therapy (OT):** Focuses on restoring or maintaining the ability to perform Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and instrumental ADLs. Therapists assess the patient's environment and abilities, providing training and adaptive strategies for tasks like bathing, dressing, meal preparation, and managing household chores.
- **Speech Therapy:** Essential for patients who have experienced difficulties with communication, swallowing (dysphagia), or cognitive functions due to conditions like stroke, head injury, or neurological diseases. Therapists work to enhance language, speech production, and safe eating/swallowing.
- **Medical Social Worker (MSW):** Provides counseling and helps connect patients and their families with essential community resources. This service addresses the social and emotional factors related to the patient’s illness and assists with long-term care planning and financial concerns.
- **Home Health Aide (HHA):** A certified assistant who works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse or therapist. HHAs provide personal care and assistance with ADLs (such as bathing, grooming, and mobility support) to maintain cleanliness and comfort as the patient progresses toward independence.
Choosing a provider for skilled home health care is a critical decision, and Homeliving Health Providers, Inc. highlights several features designed to assure families of their professional capacity and commitment to quality:
- **Physician-Directed Care:** All services are provided strictly based on a physician’s certification and Plan of Care, ensuring the care is clinically appropriate and meets the standard for medical necessity.
- **Licensed Facility:** The agency operates as a licensed Home Health Agency in the state of California, confirming adherence to state regulations and standards of professional practice.
- **Interdisciplinary Team Approach:** Care is delivered collaboratively by a full range of licensed professionals (RNs, PTs, OTs, STs, MSWs, and HHAs), providing comprehensive, coordinated care that addresses all aspects of a patient’s health and recovery.
- **Focus on Home-Based Recovery:** The agency is specialized in facilitating patient recovery and rehabilitation right in the familiar and comfortable environment of their own home, which often leads to better outcomes and reduced stress.
- **Supportive Office Infrastructure:** As confirmed by a nurse review, the office staff, management, and HR team are described as supportive, respectful, and attentive to both employee and patient needs, reflecting a dedication to maintaining a positive operational environment.
- **Training and Professional Development:** The agency provides training and ensures that their employees are fully trained and comfortable upon taking on new cases, promoting consistency and competence in the care provided.

What makes Homeliving Health Providers, Inc. a valuable choice for skilled care in Southern California is their certification as a true Home Health Agency, allowing them to provide a full spectrum of medically necessary services directly in the home. This is particularly vital for patients recently discharged from a hospital or skilled nursing facility who require ongoing professional medical attention and intensive therapy. Choosing a provider that offers Skilled Nursing alongside Physical, Occupational, and Speech Therapy, all under one coordinated Plan of Care, simplifies recovery for families.
Furthermore, the inclusion of a Medical Social Worker as part of the standard service offering ensures that the critical non-medical aspects of recovery—such as emotional adjustment, connecting to financial resources, and long-term planning—are not overlooked. While some customer feedback may point to staffing challenges common in the healthcare industry, the professional services themselves—Skilled Nursing, specialized therapies, and Home Health Aides—are the foundation of effective in-home medical care. For a client needing physician-ordered, high-level clinical services and rehabilitation to regain full independence, Homeliving Health Providers, Inc. offers the necessary clinical depth right where the patient is most comfortable: their California home.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Is it a good nurse staffing agency if the owner says the reason for nurses not staying on the case is because of the family or the environment of the patient is not good? Environment: full set up, like a hospital for the patient (initial RN who did the first visit was impressed, saying she has never seen this set up before in a home), with all supplies, equipments, a caregiver to train and help with repositioning, even when a nurse says she can reposition by herself but weeks later says she can't? Over a year of promises from the owner that staffing will be filled for the schedule but never even reached 50% coverage for the week. All we got were nurses who were frequently absent, came in late for their shift or didn't show up when there supposed too. Hell, some didn't even bother to let the agency know they're calling out. The owner said in the initial meeting last year that we will have 4 days covered with nurses in 2 weeks once the patient is home, 2 weeks go by nothing, 2 months later one nurse for 2 days coverage and lies about being able to reposition patient, 5 months later a nurse who started, came in late almost daily, then called out multiple times without letting the family know or the agency know. Total nurses provided in almost a year and I mean total, 2. I personally found 2 nurses myself out of desperation and had them sign up with HLHP. Owner even said sarcastically that they should hire me as a recruiter. Oh hey owner, the nurse that you sent who feel alseep on the job her first night doesnt count! Can you believe the owner even praised that nurse and said to me I dont know why you didnt make it work with he. I remind you the nurse fell asleep during the shift!! Some nurses even took it upon themselves to administer treatment without doctors orders. After all this the owner says it's not a problem when nurses provide treatment outside of doctors orders to the patient and would've been better off. This nurse was the one that was even on the phone with her husband's doctor while she was supposed to be caring for the patient while she held her during wound care. The owner's response to this incident? Nurses deserve breaks and that nurse is the best she's ever seen! This is after she told me to send her a document with the incident so she can let her go but apparently she didnt and actually placed her on another case. Due to the nursing shortage they will take any nurse, sign them up to bill and make money. The nurses staffed I remind you only 2 constantly complained to me about not getting calls back from the administer or owner when they called, not sending MARs (patient log sheets) or even the RNs following up with the patient as they are supposed to do every month. One of the nurses was really troubled that they didnt provide her with a Plan of Care and was planning on leaving the agency..she did. In short, I have to accept sub par nurses who come in late, don't notify the family when calling out, miss a month of work when they just started 3 months ago and administer treatment to patients without doctors orders? Yeah, good luck with that owner. The owner kept on talking over me with her drone voice and said her nurses she assigns stay with patients for years......if that's even the truth, sure ok. I guess those families don't really care how their loved one is being taken care of, are ok with nurses constantly coming in late, not showing up when they are supposed to, lie about their capabilities and administer treatment without doctors orders 👍. I personally learned everything I needed to take care of my loved one from the staff at the hopsital and sub-acute where they were at before bringing them home, so I was be prepared. Most families can't take care of their loved ones at home themselves or have no resources to learn how. Do your due diligence, interview multiple agencies and seek references when signing up for a home care agency. Hey owner...Good luck!

March 05 · JI started working for Homeliving Health Providers, Inc 2 years ago as a staff nurse, and my experience has been nothing but exceptional. From the moment I was hired, I never felt that I couldn’t rely on any member of the staff whether it was my RN supervisor, HR or accounting personnel. They were available to myself and my patients family at all hours through phone or email. I would most definitely recommend starting your nursing career with them and trusting them in the care of your loved ones.
April 22 · Ani SarkisiansI work with Homeliving since 2013 , and my experience with this company so far is great and I go to work every day with desire , knowing that I can address my patient ‘s needs accordingly and in a timely manner. Working with Homeliving feels like taking care of family that cares about you, and it is rare in the nursing field to find a place like that. If you are looking for a company that truly rewards hard work and efforts this is the place to start and stay .
