For California residents navigating complex healthcare decisions, choosing a provider is ultimately about trust, quality, and a shared philosophy of care. Assisted Home Health & Hospice offers a compelling choice based on several key factors. The foundational strength lies in the continuity of care they provide—a patient can transition from post-acute Home Health care to Palliative or Hospice Care seamlessly, all under the umbrella of a single, familiar organization. This integration is crucial for maintaining dignity and minimizing stress during vulnerable times.
Furthermore, the deeply human element of their service, as reflected in customer feedback, is a major differentiator. One family member specifically highlighted the team's ability to become "family members" who provide "incredible care," build "rapport and trust," and are responsive to every question and request. This feedback points to a culture of empathy and personalized attention where nurses and supervisors are highly engaged. While a review also mentioned challenges with administrative office staff—a common organizational hurdle in large care systems—the consistent high praise for the direct care providers (nurses and therapists) indicates that the core patient-facing services are delivered with exceptional knowledge and a caring attitude.
In a region as large and diverse as Southern California, having a local Covina office that is Medicare and Medi-Cal certified, and committed to full accessibility, offers both logistical convenience and financial peace of mind. For those in Los Angeles County seeking experienced, comprehensive, and compassionate in-home care across the continuum of home health and hospice needs, Assisted Home Health & Hospice represents a reliable and established option dedicated to upholding the quality of life for its patients at home. Their decades-long operation in the state confirms a proven track record in serving the community with dedication.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1The team at Assisted Home Health and Hospice has taken incredible care of our son and entire family. Our nurses Shannon and Olga have become family members and take incredible care of our son. Their supervisor Magaly is also great at staying on top of things and makes sure every month that we have everything we need. No question is too silly to ask or any request ignored. We're really grateful for the rapport and trust we've built this last year. We really couldn't ask for more.
February 06 · Adriana PinedoI would give them -5 stars! The two nurses I worked with were really great, very knowledgeable and caring, but the office staff is a joke! I always had to chase them down, and in the last two weeks I was suppose to be in their care they misplaced paperwork and didn’t care to even try to figure things out even after I called to ask why no one had been sent out to change my dressing, they finally offered to send someone out….on the last day. Like I said, nurses were great, A+++ and 10 stars for them but the office staff…not so much
January 19 · Tiny JohnMy Mom was very unwell and weak when she came back home from the hospital. Nurse Jameson took care of my Mom with kindness and devotion. With his compassion and unparallel knowledge, he helped my Mom slowly get better. The nursing care and support he provided was commendable. My Mom was so weak that she could not move or sit up in the bed. Physical Therapist Carol with her outstanding skills and patience over many days helped my Mom learn to sit and walk again. Social Worker Ana did absolutely an extraordinary job. She solved all the problems that came in our path. I truly appreciate Nurse Claudia for all her efforts in putting a plan in place. Today when I see my Mom laughing and spending time with the family, I feel so grateful to the " Assisted Team" for giving her a new life.
May 17 · Ms sAssisted Care is a very professional and wonderful service for home care services. My 92 year old mom has myodysplasia and requires blood draws and shots but I do not feel comfortable taking her out due to CoVid. We were assigned Sue, who is a very experienced RN. She is also very skilled at taking blood. My mom has very tiny veins and it’s very difficult to get blood. Sue knows just what to do to make my mom comfortable and she knows special techniques to easily draw blood! She is amazing! We are so lucky to have Sue as our RN. She is very thorough and conscientious! And the staff at Assisted Care are always friendly and helpful! I highly recommend them!
May 07 · Piper RoxMy home health care care nurse, Susan Bisban, has been excellent since the very beginning. She has been treating me for over a year ranging from bi-weekly visits to monthly. Each time there was a visit, Susan was very thorough and had excellent bed-side manners. She offered suggestions to assist in caring for my nephrostomy, colostomy and foley catheter. I always looked forward to her assistance in drawing blood and cleaning my PICC line. Her response time via text or phone to answer questions were always very prompt. I appreciated her professionalism and care.
