Pallas Care Introduce
For California residents in Los Angeles County seeking compassionate, high-quality in-home support for themselves or a loved one, finding an agency that aligns with their values and individual needs is paramount. Pallas Care, based in the heart of Pasadena, California, is a distinguished home health care service dedicated to providing tailored assistance that promotes independence, dignity, and a high quality of life for seniors and other adults who need help to remain safely and comfortably in their own homes.
Pallas Care is built on the philosophy that every individual deserves to be treated with respect and sensitivity, fostering a long-term relationship based on trust rather than a simple transaction. This commitment is evident in their customized care plans and the professionalism of their caregivers, who are referred to as Personal Care Attendants. They go beyond basic tasks to offer a holistic approach, supporting their clients physically, emotionally, and socially. For families navigating the complexities of eldercare in Southern California, Pallas Care offers a reliable, supportive partner, whether the need is for temporary recovery assistance or more long-term daily support.
The mission of the agency is clear: to provide tailored in-home care services that help clients maintain their independence and age with dignity. This is achieved through a nimble and responsive service model that avoids a "one-size-fits-all" approach. As a local California business, Pallas Care understands the community and the unique needs of families across the greater Los Angeles area, particularly within the San Gabriel Valley, where they are strategically located.
A notable specialization of Pallas Care, inspired by the experience of its CEO, Jennifer Dawson, is providing culturally competent services. Jennifer, who has a background in social entrepreneurship and gerontology, was motivated to found Pallas Care after witnessing the challenges faced by LGBTQ+ seniors and the lack of sensitive services available to them. This foundation ensures that the care provided is not only professional but is also respectful of diverse backgrounds, preferences, and lifestyles, making it a uniquely inclusive choice for in-home senior care in California.
The service area is extensive, covering clients throughout Los Angeles County, including the San Gabriel Valley, Westside & Central LA, Eastside & Northeast LA, and the Foothills & Crescenta Valley. This wide reach allows many Californians access to their dedicated brand of compassionate and professional in-home assistance.
Location and Accessibility
Pallas Care’s main office is centrally located in the vibrant city of Pasadena, CA, positioning it to effectively coordinate services throughout the expansive Los Angeles County region. The physical office details are as follows:
Address: 21 Miller Alley Suite 210, Pasadena, CA 91103, USA
Situated in the heart of Pasadena, the location is accessible for administrative purposes, though the core service delivery remains entirely in the client's home—be it a private residence, apartment, or assisted living unit. For most clients and their families, the primary interaction will be with the care coordination team over the phone or during an initial in-home consultation, which is designed to be convenient and thorough. This centralized location allows the management to oversee caregivers working across Pasadena, South Pasadena, Altadena, San Marino, Sierra Madre, and other surrounding communities, ensuring timely and reliable service coordination throughout Southern California.
Services Offered
Pallas Care is a licensed home care agency that specializes in non-medical, supportive care. Their services are designed to assist seniors and adults with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and instrumental ADLs, promoting a safe and independent life at home. Services are highly personalized and available on flexible schedules, ranging from a few hours a week to full-time, overnight, or around-the-clock support. The comprehensive range of in-home services includes:
- In-Home Personal Care for Seniors: Assistance with essential daily routines such as bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and safe ambulation or mobility help, delivered with patience and dignity.
- In-Home Senior Companionship Services: Providing meaningful social interaction, which can include conversation, entertainment, playing games or crafts, reading aloud, and emotional support to combat loneliness.
- Home Support Services (Domestic Help): Help with household tasks to maintain a comfortable living environment, including light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation.
- Personal Assistance Services: Tasks that aid in daily logistics and organization, such as running errands, organizing spaces, scheduling appointments, providing medication reminders, and offering transportation for appointments and outings.
- Eldercare: General non-medical support and supervision tailored to the unique needs of aging adults, focusing on safety and comfort.
- Care Management Services: This specialized support involves a higher level of coordination, including conducting comprehensive assessments, problem-solving, monitoring for health changes, supporting coordination with doctors, and providing regular updates and advocacy for the family.
- Dementia and Memory Support: Specialized support for seniors experiencing early memory loss or mild dementia, focusing on maintaining routine, gentle structure, and dedicated companionship to support cognitive well-being.
- Post-Hospital/Injury Recovery Support: Non-medical assistance for individuals temporarily recovering from an illness, injury, or surgery, providing support until they regain full independence.
It is important to note that Pallas Care operates as a home care agency providing non-acute, non-medical care through licensed caregivers, not as a home health agency that provides skilled nursing (e.g., wound care, IV therapy) by registered nurses. Their focus is on high-quality personal assistance and supportive services.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Pallas Care is providing part-time one-on-one services for a family member who lives in a memory care community and benefits from extra attention and mental stimulation. We have had three different caregivers, and they all have been helpful and kind. I chose this service because I observed a Pallas caregiver interacting with another resident on several occasions and I was impressed. Pallas also provided a caregiver to accompany me in taking my family member to a couple of doctor’s appointments. She was gentle, physically strong (which was needed), and patient. Jennifer, who runs the business, is professional—prompt and open in her communication, knowledgeable, and responsive to our questions and requests. I recommend this service wholeheartedly.
October 13 · Elizabeth PulsinelliPallas Care provided extraordinary support during the most difficult time of my life. Their team cared for my wife, who had stage 4 cancer, with deep compassion, professionalism, and dignity. Every caregiver who came into our home treated her with patience and respect, and they were equally kind to our family. Our main caregiver was exceptional—gentle, dependable, and attentive in every way. They made sure my wife was comfortable and truly became part of our family in the final months of her life. What stood out most was how attentive and responsive Pallas Care was—both to my wife's needs and to her comfort and emotional well-being. They brought peace to our home and helped us navigate each day with grace and empathy. I will always be grateful for the care they provided to her at the end of her life.
October 14 · Jennifer C. GreggAs an End of Life Care professional and business owner, I can't recommend Pallas Care highly enough. I often work with people who are often in need of caregiving services and Pallas Care is my #1 referral. As a Registered Nurse with over a decade of experience in hospice and home care, I really notice and appreciate the way Pallas cares for their patients with the highest standards of care and also for their staff of caregivers. Several of their caregivers have shared with me how well they are treated, and how they love working for Pallas Care - which I think is an important (and often missing) indicator of the quality of care clients will receive.Additionally, from the perspective of someone who has worked closely with Pallas for clients at the end of life, I can share confidently that they are professional, reliable, and and a trusted organization that provides high quality support through some of life's most vulnerable moments.
October 13 · Kate CataldoJennifer (who runs Pallas Care) has been such a huge help to me as I navigate my mother's dementia diagnosis, decline, and care. The conversations we've had about care, facilities, what is and is not viable for my mother, our finances, the laws surrounding care and caregiver employment, etc. have been so helpful. She alerted me to issues I didn't know were issues - preventing me from making some big mistakes and probably saving me thousands of dollars in the process. She obviously cares and is working very hard. She's responsive and direct and trustworthy. I cannot recommend her and her company enough. I really believe she is doing everything she possibly can for her clients and that feels increasingly rare these days.
October 13 · Charles ManningI was very surprised when Pallas Health Care sent me a demand for approx. $15,000. So I asked for invoices and services supplied by Jennifer.I never did receive that information and after calling, they refused to talk to me about it. Instead they sued me without notice.I would have paid the bill with proof but instead they took it to court. I do not live in the area and didn't understand what they are asking. Why not just ask to me on the phone? Why refuse communication?
