Presidio Home Care Introduce
For California residents seeking exceptional in-home supportive care for a loved one, navigating the options can feel overwhelming. Presidio Home Care, a distinguished provider of non-medical services in the Los Angeles area, has established a reputation for delivering premium, high-quality care. This service is designed for individuals who wish to maintain their independence and comfort by receiving personalized assistance right in their own homes.
Presidio Home Care focuses exclusively on non-medical in-home supportive services. This means their care is centered on assisting with the essential activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), ensuring safety, comfort, and quality of life without providing the skilled medical nursing care typical of home health agencies. Their philosophy is built on a "quality over quantity" approach, working with a select team of highly trained professionals to be hands-on with every case and ensure consistent, exceptional service delivery. The company was founded by the Barnes brothers over a decade ago and maintains its family-owned and operated structure, which often translates to a deeply personal and attentive level of service for all clients.
The company takes pride in its professional and knowledgeable staff. The Home Care Aides are held to high standards, as they are exclusively people who are trained as Certified Nursing Aides (CNAs) or above. This demanding requirement means the caregivers possess a significant amount of supervised and documented state-accredited training, including a minimum of 150 hours, with a focus on hands-on clinical experience. This level of training allows them to seamlessly integrate into the client's home routine, as noted by a grateful customer who appreciated that "each caretaker was caring, knowledgeable, and fit into our home routines smoothly." Additional in-office, on-site, and annual training programs ensure the team remains one of the most highly trained in the industry.
A key aspect that sets Presidio Home Care apart is the high level of administrative involvement and clinical support. Administration staff are available 24 hours per day to provide guidance and support to care recipients, their families, and the care team. Furthermore, Care Coordinators conduct visits with clients at least once every 30 days to review and adjust the care plan as needed and to audit the performance of the Home Care Aides. One client highlighted a critical distinction, noting that the company’s client care coordinator is also a nurse. This combination of administrative availability, regular check-ins, and nurse-level oversight ensures that care is both responsive and professionally managed. The family-owned nature of the business, with family members involved in the medical field, adds an extra layer of trust and understanding for families facing challenging transitions.

Choosing an in-home care provider is a profoundly personal decision, especially when entrusting a stranger with the care of a family member. For California families, Presidio Home Care offers several compelling reasons for selection. The primary advantage is the elevated standard of their caregiver staff. By exclusively hiring CNAs and those with similar or greater training, they provide a level of competence and experience that often surpasses basic non-medical home care providers. This highly trained staff, who are often nursing students or have clinical backgrounds, are better equipped to handle complex non-medical situations with professionalism and ease.
Furthermore, the structure of the business—being family-owned and utilizing a nurse as a client care coordinator—provides an environment of trust and detailed attention. For families that feel overwhelmed, as one client described, the hands-on and attentive nature of the service, where the team "really take care of everything," offers significant peace of mind. The accessibility of 24-hour administrative support ensures that any issues, questions, or emergencies can be addressed immediately by a knowledgeable administrator. The commitment to being the first licensed Home Care Organization in the state further solidifies their dedication to professionalism and ethical practice within California's regulatory framework. Presidio Home Care is a clear choice for those in Los Angeles seeking comprehensive, professionally managed, and compassionate non-medical supportive services.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Eric Irvine and the whole team at Presidio was wonderful!! From the first contact for help to the caretakers for my husband, Presidio was professional, knowledgeable, and straightforward. They attended to not only my husband's needs, but mine -- every interaction was professional and caring. I have already referred Presidio to others. We had nearly round-the-clock care for my husband -- each caretaker was caring, knowledgeable, and fit into our home routines smoothly. I happily recommend their care for any in-home care needs you have.
November 20 · Lisa DavidsonI’ve been meaning to sit down and write this review for awhile. Now that things have settled somewhat, I wanted to take the time to share my experience and hopefully it’ll help other Yelpers in similar situations. First of all, it’s been an exhausting process, to say the least, trying to find the right care for my grandfather. It was difficult just knowing where to start, what questions to ask, who to trust.... And, this was the first time my family had encountered something like this. Everyone was really emotional just dealing with his condition and I was tasked with finding help for him and for us. So, it was very overwhelming at first. After tons and tons of online research and phone calls, I finally found Presidio and they have just been wonderful for my family! When I called other places, many of them felt very impersonal, some felt like a sales pitches, and some left me with more questions than answers. But, Presidio was different. I spoke with Eric and he was the first person to really start a dialogue with me. He was very patient answering my 10,000 questions and I didn’t feel pressured to wrap up our phone call. He was very kind and informative. I discovered that they were family owned and everyone in their family was in the medial field. That gave me a lot of comfort! And really made them stand out to me. Trust was a big factor in my decision and Presidio has really been great. Their client care coordinator is actually a nurse, too. And their care aides, who are mostly nursing students, are so bubbly and awesome. Everyone is so hands on and attentive. But, the best is that they really take care of everything. I can give them any preferences or directions and they just follow through. These past few months have been a whirlwind. But, I’m so glad I was able to find Eric and Presidio. They’ve really made a tough situation and transition for my family a lot less painful.
April 26 · Christine LiuBesides the basic checks like making sure they were licensed and bonded, I was weary finding a home health care company for my Aunt. The few I interviewed were vague in how they would care for her, and the pricing wasn’t straightforward— deliberately vague because they wanted to up sell me on services which also made me concerned that unless I paid for services we didn't need my Aunt would be given basic care.Once I met with Presidio and they explained the fee structure I felt pretty confident about the overall transparency. They charge a flat hourly rate and have an app so they can see the time the caregivers clock in and out. Any on-site training for their employees was not billed. The level of professionalism showed throughout and their supervisors were accessible for any follow-up. They even had special in-house shoes out of respect for how we keep our house. The consistent and honest service was greatly appreciated. My family is very thankful.
June 03 · Frank ChoiI was having a hard time finding someone in the home health care business who would genuinely answer my questions without trying to sell me. Talking with Eric changed all of that. It was clear that Eric was truly interested in making sure I found the right health care fit for my grandmother. He took the time to walk me through everything in detail and was very clear and knowledgeable. I have called back several times and my calls are always answered, or promptly replied to. It is clear that their business is about helping people and I am moving forward with Presidio as the option to ensure my grandmother gets the best care possible. I get the sense they treat their business and employees like family, and that is why I would recommend them to everyone!
March 27 · Chris HafenI've been working with Presidio to help care for my grandmother for over a year, and have continued to be so grateful for the amount of care and attention they provide her. Since this recent pandemic, they've gone even further above and beyond.-They communicate with her and the rest of our family on all the steps they are taking to keep her safe, allowing us real peace of mind.-All Home Care Aides have been fully-equipped with N95 respirators, which they wear at all times while on duty. So important!-They provide a Family Protection Package to all clients' families, as well as all employees' families, which contain 4 KN95 respirators, 1 large pump hand sanitizer, and 4 small travel hand sanitizers. The gift bag it comes in was just a nice little bonus and a sign of real care and effort.-Finally, Presidio is always fully stocked with disposable medical equipment (gloves, lysol wipes, hand sanitizers, etc.) in case clients and/or their families are not able to find these items! This has been so incredibly helpful!I can't imagine what I'd do without the help of the Presidio team, especially during these unprecedented times. So grateful and I can't recommend them enough!
